UBE Corporation (formerly Ube Industries, Ltd.) and Nitto Boseki Co., Ltd., established Ube Nitto Kasei Co., Ltd. in February 1966 in a joint venture.
We were the first in the world to start the development of polypropylene bands for packaging under our corporate philosophy of “We will enhance social well-being through the creation of new value with our materials. ” Since then, we have released a unique range of products onto the market, including optical communication cables that support the telecommunications infrastructure, fine silica particles with high levels of purity that are indispensable as gap spacers for liquid crystal displays, the super long-selling FRP support pipes used in the fields of agriculture and fisheries, plastic cardboard used in the field of distribution and a wide range of other fields, and high-performance fibers used in disposable diapers and other items. During this period and after we were listed on the 2nd Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, we became a wholly owned subsidiary of UBE Corporation in 2003, and in 2013, the company name was changed to Ube Exsymo Co., Ltd.

Based on our code of conduct of “Having a unique inspiration at heart, become a company full of vitality and enthusiasm to open up the future,” we became aware of the SDGs during fiscal 2022 and established a long-term vision of continuing to provide all stakeholders with value to ensure sustainable growth, and launched our mid-term plan under our new system.
